3 Things

1) Ben showed me the first email he received from his new group at work. It basically said "You're going to have to move your scheduled meeting because there's an untrappable squirrel running around in the room you reserved." I thought that was pretty fantastic.

2) My cloth diapering experiment begins tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

3) Isn't Daniel cute?
Yes, that's a yarn-crafted mustard bottle by his head. Because I have cool friends. : )

Better With Daniel

Thanksgiving is officially "Better With Daniel". Not that there was anything wrong with it before, but I had been concerned that it wouldn't seem special like it had before since I still had to do exactly what I do every other day: take care of the baby and make the food. But that was a silly thing to worry about, because I like doing those things! I didn't get to have the whole day to do whatever I wanted (that's what I used to think was good about holidays), and I would have liked to see the extended family, but it was still a special day because Ben got to stay home with us all day and we got to take things a little slower, play with Daniel, and eat Thanksgiving-y food. And that was actually better than doing whatever I wanted all day. That first picture is of Daniel playing with Ben this morning while I was cooking. D's shirt says 'Cuter Than The Quarterback'. Sorry Aaron Rodgers. We still think you're pretty fantastic.

Daniel spent much of the morning bouncing while Ben hooked up the TV. Because I wanted to see the Packers. As you may have noticed, there are still boxes everywhere. But we're working on it.

TV hook-up success. Keeping baby from seeing TV fail.

This is what Ben and I ate. (Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Cranberry Sauce, and Pumpkin Pecan Praline Pie. All gluten free and dairy free!)
This is what Daniel ate. (Mashed Sweet Potatoes)

He really liked it...
...but I'm still not sure how it ended up inside his nose and smeared across his forehead.

Then, once we were all done eating, Daniel had his first ever after-the-Thanksgiving-meal nap and Ben washed the dishes while I had a cup of tea. Thanks Ben! : )

Time Flies

It seems like just yesterday that Daniel was a tiny newborn...

...and now he's all grown up and driving.

It all goes by so fast.
Both hands on the wheel, Baby D. And good job with that blind spot.

Halloween 2011

Beware of very small lions. Sitting in Bumbo chairs. And chewing on their manes. On second thought, don't worry. He's completely obsessed with the ribbon loops. We can't even get him to look at the camera. Just don't stick your hand in his mouth. Because then he will bite you. With his razor sharp...gums.
